Launching a brand is not hard. Someone does it in our area every week, and is nice enough to email to let me know.

However, launching a brand, making it a success as bespoke, then launching ready-to-wear, setting up your own factory off the back of it, and opening your own store on Savile Row. That is very very much harder.

It's what Gaziano & Girling have achieved over the past 10 years. An amazing achievement, and one they richly deserved celebrating on Wednesday night.

Thank you, Tony and Dean, for what you've done for this industry and for letting me be a small part of it.

Enjoy the photos.

Hi Simon,
Thanks for this welcome report. Yes, their venture is indeed a great feat! G&G have become a game changer in the shoe industry, managing to produce very sharp shoes while remaining commited to classics as well. I’ve come to believe that a shoe wardrobe without their St James isn’t really worth mentioning.
I wish them well for the coming years !

Met them a couple of times and they are nice chaps. Their shoes really are the best, too.

Hi Simon

I just wondered what type of shoes you would recommend with black tie? I used to have to wear patent leather shoes with my mess dress when I was in the RAF but would probably rather steer clear of such shoes today. In contrast, a pair of black brogues doesn’t seem right either? I would appreciate your advice.
Thanks
David

Yes, that’s perfect. Many thanks Simon

Hi Simon,
Is the Mr Olivier Rosenfeld 3rd owner of Gaziano&Girling ?
